Brak wants to know, "How do you exterminate Fire Ants"?
We have Fire Ants in our front yard. Mom got a real nasty bite from one.
What’s a good way of keeping them off our yard permanently?

instant uncooked grits. Place them around the Ant Hill, they carry them back to the next for the colony to eat, once they eat them they swell up and bingo,,,no more ants. A friend of mine from Florida told me this.

Nothing permanent. but over and out works real well. Most of todays fire ant killers work well. But you have to follow the direction’s .
I usually put th killer as directed on the hill’s then i broad cast the yard. this works well for holding them at bay.

Amdro ant killer. The best stuff for ants of all types. It can kill the whole colony overnight.

a friend and two shovels, each take a shovelful from two different ant mounds, exchange them and the two colonies will kill each other!
