While foraging for food the large red and black ants discover a mealworm and make quick work of the biting hard shelled adversary. The worm is then later fed to the larvae back inside the colony.

I have two carpenter ant queens and they have over 30 eggs and larvae and i’m planning on putting them in a large cage i got and i was wondering if they need any special treatment compared to burrowing ants?
