Bacteria infection and Termites – The Same or Different – Dr. Nabil Ebraheim

Educational video discussing the similarities between bacteria and termites.these termites ,ants has a queen that lay eggs that hatch.termites eat the wood causing damage it needs local control bacteria invade the tissue it multiply and destroy the tissue creating an abcess and bone infection ,osteomyelitis .drainage and antibiotics debridment of the dead necrotic bone and removal of the loose implant and replacing it with a stable or different implant sometimes is needed ,bacteriology ,lab are important with deep cultures are needed bone graft may be needed to heal the fracture or the nonunion or to fill a bony cavity .the bacteria and termites eat muliply reproduce attack and destroy this animation video is created by the university of toledo orthopedic surgeon .
